David Kolacny Jr. is an experienced professional in healthcare technology and innovation, leveraging his exposure to and knowledge across the digital health industry to drive impactful projects and operations. His career is distinguished by a diverse range of roles across Health IT operations, project management, client success, and healthcare startups, motivating him to become a lecturer of Healthcare Technology Startups in the HIHIT program.

David currently serves as a Sr. Client Success Manager at b.well Connected Health, a growth-stage startup driving the unification of healthcare data through interoperability for a more personalized consumer experience and improved outcomes. Prior to his current position, he launched the implementation team at Carta Healthcare as Manager of Product Implementations, where he streamlined processes to deploy services and software that enhanced healthcare data utilization.

The foundations for his enthusiasm in healthcare innovation began as an Epic Analyst at Texas Children’s Hospital, where he learned the importance of a mission-driven culture of leadership and innovation. He then moved to a role as a Healthcare Innovation Strategy Analyst at TMC Innovation, where he honed his skills in startup consulting, acceleration, and ecosystem development. He expanded on his passion to facilitate strategic guidance and investment in promising healthcare startups with a tenure as a Venture Associate with the Houston Angel Network.

David holds a Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences and an HIHIT Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin, where his academic journey included pioneering research at the College of Pharmacy and co-authoring three peer-reviewed articles focused on pharmaceutical drug delivery methods for chronic infections. He is also a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and has completed certifications in the CORe Program at Harvard Business School Online and Business Strategist program from Section.
