Dr. Erika Gonzalez-Lima is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor with expertise in multicultural counseling and coaching. She provides counseling to individuals facing personal, academic and professional challenges, including stress, anxiety, depression, problems with interpersonal relationships, difficulties adjusting to new environments, and career changes.
Dr. Lima earned a Psychology Licentiate (a professional degree), with high honors (Summa cum Laude) at the Andres Bello Catholic University in Caracas, Venezuela. She earned a Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD in Health Education from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX. Dr. Lima has had the opportunity to live and work in five different countries: Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Germany, Canada and USA. She loves to teach psychology-related topics and oral presentation skills. Dr. Lima is married to Dr. Francisco Gonzalez-Lima, a professor and neuroscientist working at the University of Texas at Austin. They have two sons in college, and a German Sheppard and a turtle at home.
