Michael Peterson is a Managing Director at the Pemberton Economic Group and a Lecturer in the Department of Management at the McCombs School of Business. As a Lecturer at the University of Texas, Michael teaches graduate and undergraduate entrepreneurship courses that focus on identifying opportunities for new technologies, market validation, building a team, funding a venture, and landing the first customer. In his role at the Pemberton Economic Group, he has conducted in-depth evaluations of over 30 early stage innovations with market potential of $7.3B+. Analysis includes market size, competitive intelligence, market interest and an assessment of risks and barriers to successful product launch. Prior to joining the Pemberton Economic Group in 2010, Michael ran a division for International Paper as a General Manager. Michael is a Co-Director of the Startup Grind chapter based in Cedar Park, TX.
