- RecruitMcCombs is an online job board that offers employers the ability to promote experienced hire opportunities to working professional students and alumni of the McCombs School of Business throughout the calendar year. Job postings are entered and managed independently by companies and may be directed at alumni with specific degrees.
- McCombs Connect is your one-stop-shop for networking, job search videos, webinars, handouts, coaching, event registration, mentoring, special interest groups, and more! Connect with fellow alumni, current McCombs students, and stay engaged with the McCombs community. Login to access recordings such as:

- McCombs Alumni Directory is a valuable tool that helps you stay in touch with your classmates and network with fellow alumni. Please update your information so your classmates and current students can connect with you!
- HookedIn is your one-stop shop for alumni-specific job boards, asking quick questions of alumni, scheduling career coaching appointments, and learning more about your fellow alumni. To search for alumni in target areas, there are multiple ways to connect on the site and set up time to connect for further discussions.
- Blue Steps is a leading executive career management service operated by the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and provides executive talent a wealth of career management resources, including absolute confidentiality and ethical connections with AESC Members. Memberships may be purchased by McCombs alumni at a 30 percent discount.
Coaching
What To Expect:
- Complimentary Sessions: McCombs Alumni Career Management (ACM) offers four free coaching sessions a year to all degreed alumni.
- Virtual Meetings: All coaching sessions are conducted online for your convenience.
- Personalized Support: Our coaches work with you to identify and achieve your unique career goals.
- Diverse Expertise: Our generalist coaches are certified to assist with a variety of career backgrounds and coaching topics.
Your Role in the Process:
To make the most of your coaching experience, it's important to understand that the process involves active participation on your part. Here's how you can prepare:
- Come prepared with specific career goals for your session (or even a few ideas if you're unsure).
- Be ready to engage in self-reflection and take action based on your coach's guidance.
- Understand that while your coach will provide support and direction, you'll be responsible for implementing strategies and making decisions.
REMEMBER: Our coaches do not write or edit resumes, provide specific job selection advice, nor will we make personal life decisions for you. Our aim is to empower you with the tools and insights to navigate your career journey effectively.
How to Make an Appointment with an ACM Coach:
- Login to RecruitMcCombs with your EID.
- If your EID/password combination is not working, you can reset your EID password by clicking HERE.
- Once you've logged in, choose "Appointments" on the lefthand side.
- Under "Career Adviser", choose one or all of the Alumni Career Coaches.
- Select the Date that works with your schedule.
- Select the Preferred Appointment Type for your topic of discussion. If you don't know what you'd like to discuss, choose "Other". Our professionally trained coaches can help you navigate a variety of career challenges and/or goals.
- Select the Time that works with your schedule.
- Select Preferred Location. (NOTE: All coaching sessions are virtual and your coaches link will be pre-populated. Please ensure you have the latest version of Zoom or a Google Meet account.)
- No attachments are necessary.
- Notes are optional.
- Select BOOK APPOINTMENT and check your email for your confirmation.
- Please only make ONE appointment at a time.
LinkedIn and Social Media
Follow McCombs on LinkedIn, along with private groups for BBA and MBA alumni to keep up to date with what's happening in your network. Be sure that "Red McCombs School of Business" is in the education section of your LinkedIn profile and you automatically become a member. A brief video tutorial is here: LinkedIn Hack.
