Alex Crist is a BBA career coach and marketing lecturer for the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. He teaches one section of Career Planning and Professional Development for first-year students in the spring and a business career course for transfer students in the fall. Crist combines innovative training practices and genuine connections to help students reach their goals.

As part of his duties, he oversees the programming, resources, and coaching for students interested in investment banking. Crist also advises undergraduate finance students in their career search. He provides information on internships and job opportunities, employer and recruiting trends, job search tools, offer evaluation, and salary negotiation. Crist also conducts mock interviews, helps create individual job search strategies, and performs detailed reviews of résumés, business writing, and LinkedIn profiles. 

Crist was a first-year experience graduate assistant and an academic enrichment center graduate assistant at Taylor University. He has a bachelor’s in psychology from Butler University in Indianapolis and a master’s in higher education and student development from Taylor University.
