An adjunct professor of finance for The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business, Britt Harris is also chief executive officer and chief information officer at UTIMCO, the University of Texas and Texas A&M Investment Management Company. 

Harris previously worked as chief executive officer of Bridgewater Associates and the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.

At McCombs, he teaches Titans of Investing, an elective for top-performing undergraduate and graduate students. Students manage global portfolios and prepare market reports on investment results and key market factors. They also read and reflect as a group on thought pieces about the most important books on business, psychology, investing, political science, and history.

Harris holds leadership roles in the investment community, including serving as chairman of the Committee on the Investment of Employee Benefit Assets and as an adviser to the New York Stock Exchange. He earned a BBA in finance from Texas A&M University.
