David Hendrawirawan teaches graduate courses in accounting and information, risk, and operations management for the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
With more than 20 years of experience with the Big Four accounting firms, industry, and education, Hendrawirawan has delivered strategic advisory and solutions to improve business value, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance in data-intensive and highly regulated organizations. His current focus is on bridging business and academia on digital strategy and data governance research and education.
Hendrawirawan teaches several courses in UT Austin graduate programs, including the Master of Science programs in IT & Management, Business Analytics, and Information Security and Privacy. As a research analyst at Eckerson Group, he writes about industry trends and best practice perspectives on data governance, business intelligence, and analytics. He is also active on cultivating public-private partnership to advance cybersecurity and privacy for the future generations in the K-12 schools.
Hendrawirawan earned an M.S. in management information systems and a BBA in accounting, both from Texas A&M University’s Mays School of Business.
