Joseph Hirsh

Joseph Hirsh is a lecturer for the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, teaching courses on blockchain technology in the Department of Information, Risk, and Operations Management.
A mathematician, Hirsh works as a data science consultant for Credmark, a decentralized finance platform.
He has also consulted on blockchain technology with software developer Prototypal and on machine learning with Tunnel Technologies. Before then, he was a postdoctoral fellow and an instructor in pure mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Hirsh volunteers with Austin Partners in Education as an after-school math teacher at an elementary school.
He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from the City University of New York and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Queens College, City University of New York.
