Liana Frey

Liana Frey is a lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business focused on sustainability and innovation. She is also a senior fellow at the Irving Institute at Dartmouth College, where she is building an innovation hub for climate. Frey is also leading the launch of an accelerator for entrepreneurs fighting climate change, and she works as an adjunct professor at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business. As a founding member of Dell’s e-commerce business, she helped grow it from zero to a multibillion-dollar business. She has been on the leadership team of several technology startups, including Lithium Technologies (now Khorus) and Ketra (acquired by Lutron).

Frey works with multiple startups in the sustainability space, including as a mentor with Greentown Labs, Techstars, and SKU. She helped guide Shaz & Kiks, a sustainable clean beauty brand; NoBull Burgers, a plant-based food company; and FLO Materials, a plastics replacement business. She is on the advisory board of Carbon Bridge, a renewable energy company. Frey has served on the board of Austin’s children’s museum, the Thinkery, and on the board of the Association of National Advertisers.

She holds a B.A. in economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.
