Rui Gao
Assistant Professor
Department: Information, Risk & Operations Management
Rui Gao is an assistant professor of IROM in the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. Gao’s main research studies data-driven decision making under uncertainty and prescriptive data analytics, and he teaches undergraduate courses in decision science and optimization. He currently serves as an associate editor for the journal Mathematical Programming.
He earned a Ph.D. in operations research from Georgia Institute of Technology and a B.Sc. in mathematics and applied mathematics from Xi’an Jiaotong University.
