Soren Aandahl is an accounting lecturer for The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business, teaching a graduate course on financial fraud.

A premier short activist investor, Aandahl is founder and chief investment officer for Blue Orca Capital LLC, and his opinions have been featured in national and international media outlets, including Bloomberg, The Economist, and The Wall Street Journal.

Prior to founding Blue Orca, Aandahl was director of research for Glaucus Research Group and chief investment officer for Glaucus Investments. Under his leadership, Glaucus was named by Activist Insight Magazine as the 2016 Short Seller of the Year, sharing 28 short activist investment opinions with the market. Many companies he identified were later charged with securities fraud and delisted.

Aandahl earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in international studies, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Chicago.
